If you're on a budget (who isn't during the holiday season?) and want to spend an hour crafting and being creative (and also making something as CUTE as Pottery Barn sells!), then you've found the right place.
Let's make this together! Here's what we used:
Brown Gloss Spray Paint ($8 - Michaels)
White Medium 5M Posca Pen ($4 - Michaels)
Holiday House - Ceramic ($8 - Michaels) they have loads of options at Michaels for different shapes and styles like the above.
Simple Steps:
Spray the houses.
I did two coats in one day. I left them to dry until the following day.
Use your white pen and trace over all the lines and raised ceramic elements on the house. Easy!
If you are feeling fun, add additional polka-dots, swirls, and lines. No rhyme or reason; I promise it'll still look great.
That's it! You can use a clear coating sealant, but you don't have to. I didn't. Instead I'll just wrap in bubble-wrap after the holiday season is done and take out next year.
Let's see your creations! Head over to Instagram and see how we used these houses this holiday season.
